Join the City College of New York's LGBTQ+ Student Center and Campus Pride for a Fall Semester Safer Space Training! Facilitated by Shane Windmeyer of Campus Pride.

Ready to make a difference on campus for all LGBTQI+ folks at CCNY and CUNY? 

This virtual training will teach staff, faculty, and administrators how to be better allies and create safer spaces for LGBTQ+ students and colleagues.

This training is for CUNY Staff and Faculty only.

All participants who successfully complete this training will receive a certificate of completion sent to their email. 

CCNY Staff and Faculty will also receive an LGBTQ+ Student Center Safe Space magnet to display on their office doors and be featured in the “Safe Zone Trained” section of our website.

About Shane Windmeyer
Shane L. Windmeyer, M.S., Ed. (they/he) is a best-selling author, LGBTQ campus pioneer and civil rights champion. Windmeyer  is founder and executive director of Campus Pride, the leading national LGBTQ organization for student leaders and campus organizations working to build future leaders and create safer campus communities.

About the CCNY LGBTQ+ Student Center
The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Questioning Student Center (est. Fall 2021) is a collaborative resource dedicated to celebrating, empowering, and supporting LGBTQIA+ students, staff, and faculty at CCNY. We are committed to leading with a social justice lens, offering and connecting LGBTQ+ communities at CCNY with accessible support services, relevant programming, engaging events, paid internship/job opportunities, and general guidance navigating college, home life, and futures outside of higher education for those who identify as LGBTQ+ or questioning. The LGBTQ+ Student Center is also dedicated to increasing awareness about LGBTQ+ issues, gender, and sexuality at City College. The LGBTQ+ Student Center is a safe space for all LGBTQIA+ students and allies to meet and build community. You all are welcome here!
